Tenders to be floated for installation of CCTVs in ladies coach of local trains

Central railway is planning to install CCTV cameras in all ladies coaches of its local trains in Mumbai by March 2023.

The project is estimated to cost Rs 10.35 crore.

Tenders are expected to be published in January 2022.

Project completion date is estimated to be by March 2023.

Tender worth Rs.350 crore by DDA for an international level stadium

Bids have been invited by the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) for the development of an international-level cricket and football stadium which will be able to seat 30,000 spectators. The stadium is to be built in southwest Delhi’s Dwarka, Sector 19.

It will be built at a cost of ₹350-crore on a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) basis and will be spread over 54 acres. The facility is to have an outdoor stadium with a seating capacity for at least 30,000 spectators for cricket and football, and an indoor stadium with space for 2,000 spectators

The project is to be developed on a design, build, finance, operate and transfer (DBFOT) basis. The sports facility is expected to be completed within three years from the date of award of work.

$32 million tender for battery energy storage system awarded to Hitachi Energy

Hitachi Energy has been selected for the delivery of the Darwin-Katherine battery energy storage system (DK BESS) in Australia’s Northern Territory. The tender holds a value of USD 32.1million.

The company will be delivering the major components of the 35-MVA facility and the project will deploy Hitachi Energy’s virtual synchronous machine technology.

This project is in line with the Northern Territory’s goal of using 50% renewable energy by 2030.

Tender floated for preparation of DPR for Nariman Point-Cuffe Parade link

MMRDA has invited bids for the preparation of a Detailed Project Report (DPR) to build a 1.3 km-long bridge between Nariman Point and Colaba which will reduce congestion on the route and make travel times faster between the two areas.

The tender was published on 7th December and the last date of submission of the tender is December 28.

Tenders for RT-PCR kits that can detect S-gene to be floated soon by BMC

In preparation for the Omicron variant of COVID-19, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) will be procuring RT-PCR kits that can find the presence or absence of S-gene. Tenders are expected soon to procure such kits for all BMC-run Covid testing centres.

Coastal motorway project by Italian-Libyan JC to start inviting tenders

The Italian-Libyan Joint Commission is planning to implement the fourth sector of the coastal motorway project (the Ras Ajdir to Misrata section) and will officially start inviting pre-qualified companies to participate in the tender soon.

Technical and financial offers are invited which will culminate in the signing of implementation contracts at the end of January 2022.

Government of India to issue fortified rice product through PDS by 2024

The Maharashtra government has received a recommendation from the Union Food Ministry to motivate industries to set up fortified rice manufacturing plants as well as rice bran oil processing units around the paddy belt of Gondia, Bhandara, and Chandrapur.

This move has come since the Govt. of India has chalked out a plan for issuing Fortified Rice through PDS in the future as announced by Hon’ble Prime Minister.

Danish Offshore Wind Farm Tender awarded to RWE

Thor Wind Farm I/S has won the tender for the 1 Giga-Watt Thor project, which is Denmark’s largest offshore wind farm to date.The issuing authority Danish Ministry of Climate, Energy and Utilities and the Danish Energy Agency (DEA) have announced. Thor Wind Farm is owned by RWE AG, RWE Renewables GmbH, and RWE Renewables Management UK Limited.

Six pre-qualified companies and consortia had bid for the offshore wind farm, which was tendered with a capacity from 800 MW to 1,000 MW and to be located in the North Sea west of Nissum Fjord, at a distance of min. 20 km from the shore

Thepreliminary bids were to besubmitted until mid-March. The call for final bids was then issued in August and remained open until November.

China’s BYD wins tender for supply of electric buses to TMB, Barcelona

BYD has won an order of 25 electric buses, in a tender issued by Transports Metropolitans de Barcelona (TMB). This order is a part of a larger tender.

According to the contract BYD has to deliver 25 units of new-generation 12-metre electric buses to Barcelona from 2022.

TMB intends to procure another 210 electrified buses by 2025 in March, tenders for which will be floated in the future.

The tender had a total value of 116 million euros and was divided into five lots. Of which in two of the lots, TMB focused entirely on all-electric buses: which included 29 electric articulated buses and 49 electric solo buses, equipped with pantographs. The 49 solo buses are divided between 24 Solaris Urbino 12 electric, which TMB ordered in September, and the 25 electric buses from BYD.

Eight new oil and gas blocks up for bids in Indonesia

Eight new oil and gas blocks located across the Indonesian archipelago are up for bids. They have a total capacity of at least 500 million barrels of oil and 22 trillion cubic feet of gas.

The blocks offered are: the West Palmera and Bertak Pijar Puyuh blocks on Sumatra island, the Paus offshore field in Natuna, the North Ketapang and Agung I blocks in North Java, the Karaeng and Agung II blocks in South Sulawesi, and the Maratua block in East Kalimantan.

The Bertak Pijar Puyuh, North Ketapang, Agung I and Agung II blocks are going to be offered via a “direct proposal tender”, and the rest will be offered in a regular tender.
